Fit Fashion Friday: My Odd Love For Fuzzy Socks

Do not, I repeat, do not, discount the greatness of a pair of fuzzy tube socks.

Especially when its after a long week of work, gym sessions, and cold weather. Theres nothing better. Last night when I finished teaching ZUMBA, the only thing I could think of was putting my feet into my favorite pair of fuzzy tube socks.
I got them at Target for $6.80 and I HIGHLY recommend these babies. They're warm, cozy and feel so wonderful when you put them on after a hot shower, with some lotion, Ahhhh.
Sometimes, I think of how snuggly these feel as a reward, and a thank you to my legs and feet for carrying me through my days. As if the socks are a "good job" hug saying "nicely done lower body."
I know, thats a lot of thought into my pair of fuzzy socks from Target, but don't we all have odd loves we getting carried away with?
In the midst of all of the big happenings in each of our own world's, the smallest pleasures can make such an impact, if we let them. These socks do that for me. When I put them on, I'm done with the madness of my day and it's time to curl up and watch my "girl TV" or my bedtime book, or just go to sleep. Therefore, these socks signify one of the most satisfying parts of my day.
I know it sounds goofy, and I already know that I have an odd love for fuzzy socks. I'm totally good with it. Our odd loves and quirky pleasures are a part of who we are. They should be discovered, embraced and shared.

And with my odd love, I give you this weeks Fit Fashion Friday!

Similar to this blog, you can expect almost anything and everything on there (keeping it classy and PG of course.) ZERO personal SnapChats will be sent from this account, only shared SnapChat stories
That being said, feel free to send  Snaps my way of your Too Fit encounters. Whether it's a ten second clip of you doing your favorite exercise, a photo of your delicious, and clean meal or, just something silly: share it via SnapChat & show me how you're living Too Fit! I know theres many of you out there doing so, and I'd love to see! However, please leave out the selfies of your bad hair day or snaps of your dog doing tricks. Keep the snaps sent here strictly Too Fit. I just might share a few that really jazz me up!
(I won't share all snaps, but don't send anything you don't want shared, or just tell me. You've heard that rumor about the snaps really not disappearing too, right?)

I anticipate this being a simple, fun and interesting way for us to inspire each other! Let's get snapping!

A Too Fit Fix For A Sweet Tooth...It Exists!

For those of us who have a sweet tooth, we know it can put even the most disciplined eater into a  panic.

For those of you who do not have a sweet tooth (I can't say us, because I'm not included in this group.), well, I think you're full of it.
This fabulous find by my girl Al will please both groups with how delicious and guilt-free this treat is! She forwarded me this message from the Humbled Homemaker, a fantastic site for recipes and healthy and all-around natural living (love that). Just like me, Al loves to eat like a fat kid while looking and feeling like a total "smokeshow." She knew a recipe like this would excite me.
As many people are, I am skeptical when I see recipes for healthy alternatives to tasty yet unhealthy treats, especially my sweets. This one, though, passes the test- even with my sweet tooth as a tough critic.
Oh, and it's SUPER easy to throw together.

Here is my ever so slightly modified version of Protein Peanut Butter Cups. Click here for the original.
1.     4 tablespoons of melted extra virgin coconut oil
2.    1/2 cup of melted all-natural peanut butter.
3.    1/4 cup of cocoa powder
4.    1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract
5.    1 scoop of vanilla/chocolate protein powder (Chocolate makes these have a super sweet and dark chocolate taste. If you dig it, go for it. I personally like the vanilla.)
Mix everything, and pour mixture into cupcake tins, with or without liners (the liners obviously make it easier to remove from pan and eat). Place in the freezer for 15-25 minutes, and they're ready!

NOTE: Try not to keep these guys out of the freezer/fridge for too long, because they do melt! Also, eat somewhere that licking your fingers is appropriate, and have a napkin handy!

These are gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and packed with protein! I see zero negatives here. Enjoy yourself, or share a cup or two with a pal- if you’re really, really nice!

Got to love a “Too Fit” sweet tooth!
